"Mriya" visited the Olympics: Olympic Dreams project presents artwork featuring part of the fuselage of the legendary An-225 at the presentation

During the presentation of the Olympic Dreams project at the Ukrainian Olympic House VOLIA SPACE in Paris, the team presented an art poster "We will always have "Mriya" (dream) with a fragment of the fuselage of the An-225 aircraft destroyed during the Russian invasion of Hostomel.

The unique feature of the artefact, created to preserve the memory of the legendary aircraft, is that it features a genuine part of the aircraft "Mriya". The image for the art poster was designed by artist Dmytro Maksymenko, and the project itself was created by a team of Kyiv-based volunteers - Oles Kromplias, Yaroslav Yutskevych, Oleksiy Berezin and Vladyslav Vakulenko - to raise funds to help Ukrainian defenders.

Each poster has its own serial number, which confirms its originality and exclusivity. A total of 100 such art posters were created, so each copy has not only historical but also collectible value. It is symbolic that the artifact was presented to the audience by Anastasiia Chyzhevska, a participant in the Olympic Dreams project, European Judo Cup champion and International Master of Sports of Ukraine.

Originally from the temporarily occupied Luhansk, Anastasiia moved to the city of Hostomel with her family in 2014, where she continued her judo training. In February 2022, she was still there, so the athlete had to evacuate. Anastasiia's father volunteered for the Armed Forces and died defending the country in the summer of 2022. Since then, the athlete has dedicated all her victories in judo competitions to her father.
"In this difficult time for the country, it is important to continue to achieve results in international competitions. It is important to remind everyone of the unwavering spirit and determination of the Ukrainian people. Each such victory and achievement of our athletes raises the country's morale and inspires people," said Anastasiia.

Anastasiia Chyzhevska has been a member of the Olympic Dreams project since 2022. Over this time, she has won several international sports awards, including the European Judo Cup, and became one of the protagonists of the documentary film Espoirs (Hopes) about athletes from five different countries. The film was created by the French national sports media L'Équipe in collaboration with Mañana Production. During the presentation of the Olympic Dreams project at VOLIA SPACE, visitors were given a screening of the film.

"It is a very symbolic moment that a piece of the plane, our great "Mriya" that was destroyed in Hostomel, ended up in the hands of an athlete from this city and was shown in Paris during the Olympic Games. This synergy for us is the personification and symbol of the fact that despite all the hardships, our athletes continue their struggle, move on and win new victories!" said Oleksandra Novikova, CEO of the Olympic Dreams project.

As part of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the NOC of Ukraine, Olympic Dreams team members include project initiator and philanthropist Anatoliy Boyko, project military ambassador, Irpin City Council member, Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Olena Pavlova, Project CEO Oleksandra Novikova, Olympic Dreams Secretary General, Deputy Mayor of Bucha for Humanitarian Affairs Oleksandra Starkova, and Project Development Director, Honoured Coach of Ukraine Karen Balaian presented the results of the project's activities since its launch.
