The next sports and training camp of the Olympic Dreams project has started. The judo team has joined the Valencia Training Camp New Generations in Spain, a large training camp attended not only by Ukrainian athletes but also by athletes from Israel, Spain, France and other countries.
A group of judokas together with members of the Olympic Dreams team have already arrived at the camp. The athletes have started their training programme, which will last for a week.
"We are continuing to systematically support Ukrainian athletes by seeking and providing the necessary resources and opportunities for their development. The current camp in Valencia is an opportunity for Ukrainian young athletes to gain additional international experience and improve their skills. Here they will learn from the best coaches and gain valuable international experience, which is invaluable for strengthening the position of Ukrainian sport on the global stage," said Anatoliy Boyko.
This is the second time that the Olympic Dreams team has joined this training camp, with young judokas taking part in the previous event in August 2023. The team's stay at the Valencia Training Camp New Generations was also made possible thanks to the support of the international organisation Kiwanis, which has supported the Olympic Dreams project for the second time and promotes the preservation of the Ukrainian Olympic reserve.
The project continues to develop on the international stage thanks to the support of philanthropist Anatoliy Boyko, project CEO Oleksandra Novikova, project Secretary General and Deputy Mayor of Bucha for Humanitarian Affairs Oleksandra Starkova, and Project Development Director and Honoured Coach of Ukraine Karen Balaian.
