A ward of the Olympic Dreams 2022 project received a bronze medal at the European Judo Championship

Young athlete Anastasia Chyzhevska, a ward of the charitable project "The Future for Children" and a pupil of the Kyiv Regional State Sports Academy, a student of OFKIP and coaches Karen Balayan and Oleksandra Starkova, won a bronze medal at the European Judo Championship Euro-U23 in the weight category up to 57 kg. The event took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the city of Sarajevo. The girl dedicated her victory to her father, who defended Ukraine in the Armed Forces and died a few months ago in the Donetsk region.

Anastasia from Gostomel was one of more than a hundred participants in the summer project "Olympic Dreams 2022", initiated by the Charitable Foundation "The Future for Children".
As part of this project, young athletes from the regions of Ukraine most affected by the Russian invasion had the opportunity to continue their training under peaceful skies on the territory of Greece.

"The time we spent in Greece paid off! And we are very happy for the children. This medal is our joint achievement. No matter what - we are moving forward towards the Olympic dreams. In addition to the medal, Nastya also fulfilled the standards of the international class master of sports in judo!" - said Anastasia's coach Karen Balayan, participant of the 1996 Olympic Games and representative of the NOC of Ukraine in the Kyiv region.

"When we first started working on the "Olympic Dreams 2022" project, our main result was not future victories, which our young athletes will definitely gain, but all their safety. However, today, when we have such an impressive result, as demonstrated by Anastasia Chizhevska, it becomes clear that our efforts and hopes were not in vain. Therefore, on behalf of myself and the Foundation team, I congratulate Nastya on her bronze medal. I am sure that this will not be the last such important award that our athletes will win in the near future," Anatoliy Boyko, patron of "The Future for Children" Foundation, noted.

However, with the beginning of the war, a shelter for internally displaced persons who lost their homes was created on the territory of the Gymnasium. Starting in 2021, employees of the Foundation and the Gymnasium provided assistance to more than 500 children and adults who were in the dormitory of the Nizhnyobistrov Gymnasium. The team of the Charitable Foundation "The Future for Children" is a team of activists that initiated and implements the project of the public organization "Development of IT Education", which supports young IT specialists and the development of the IT sector in Ukraine.
