Recently, an exclusive premiere of the French documentary "The Ukrainian Flame" took place in Bucha. The film, produced by Manana Films and commissioned by France TV Moyen-Orient, tells the story of the training of Ukrainian Olympic athletes in the midst of war.
Representatives of the National Olympic Committee, athletes, coaches, government officials and community members gathered to watch the film. The premiere was a major event for Bucha, which became the first city in Ukraine to screen the film.

The film demonstrates the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit through sport, telling the stories of athletes in various disciplines: wrestling (Iryna Kolyadenko), swimming (Maksym Ovchinnikov), fencing (Alina Poloziuk), rhythmic gymnastics (Maria Vysochanska) and Paralympic rowing (Volodymyr Dziubynskyi). The story of Volodymyr Dziubynskyi, who lost his leg at the frontline, where he volunteered, and found a new purpose in sport, is given special emphasis.
Before the premiere, speeches were made by Vadym Huttsait, President of the NOC of Ukraine and Olympic champion, Ihor Malynskyi, Head of the NOC of Ukraine in Kyiv Region, Vitalii Vlasiuk, President of the Olympic Academy of Kyiv Region, Karen Balaian, member of the Executive Committee of the Kyiv Regional Branch of the NOC of Ukraine, Development Director of the Olympic Dreams International Sports Camps Project, Oleksandra Starkova, Deputy Mayor of Bucha, Secretary General of the Olympic Dreams Project, and Dmytro Hapchenko, Administrative Officer of the Bucha City Council, Oleksandra Novikova, CEO of the Olympic Dreams International Sports Camps project, and Olena Pavlova, Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Associate Professor, Military Ambassador of the Olympic Dreams project, who emphasised the importance of the struggle of Ukrainian soldiers and the aspirations of Ukrainian athletes, as well as the creation of such documentary evidence about them.
The film "The Ukrainian Flame" is filled with an atmosphere of hope, confidence, and thirst for victory, which unites the athletes with a common desire to get to the Olympic Games despite the difficult trials of war. The fact that the Ukrainian Olympic team will be at the Olympic Games and that the Ukrainian flag will be waving at the Olympics in Paris can be considered a victory, said Vadym Huttsait.
